Seven of us "PAMI dinosaurs" met for a reunion over a weekend in May of 2011. We gathered in Aberdeen,
MD Friday evening. On Saturday we met up with Deb Kauffman at what was the main gate of the base. Deb is the property
manager for the current owners of the former Bainbridge property. She was most gracious and led us on a tour of what's
left at Bainbridge. Ron Worline said it best when he uttered that Bainbridge has turned into a jungle. There is
very little left to see. While Deb pointed out where some land marks once were, she could have told us anything because every
area was simpy overgrown. I want to thank Deb for helping to keep alive whatever memories each of us have of
Bainbridge, if only in our own minds. Thanks Deb.
We also visited a museum, located in Port Deposit, that was created
to honor the memories of USNTC Bainbridge. Seeing all the memorabilia brought back some memories! Thanks to Carolyn the
curator.
All in all it was great to see everyone and rekindle some friendships. Here are some pics from the
reunion. To those who were there, I hope you all had a great time as I did. To those of you who chose not to attend, hopefully
you'll try to join us next year. It really was a lot of fun.
